Generac 7172 protects your family, home and business when grid power fails. Run it on natural gas or LP for hours at no end. It powers up a refrigerator, a furnace, sump pump, computers, microwaves, TVs, lights, and so forth. This Guardian Series model can be installed 18” from the building. The autoload balancing, electronic governor, Wi-Fi connectivity, system status indicators, and sound attenuation enclosure make it a preferable choice for modern homeowners. It has an oil circulation system that keeps it running powerfully without any need for maintenance for more than 200 hours. Aluminum enclosure with its RhinoCoat™ powder-coated finish makes it perfect for all types of climates. 

Generac Guardian 7172 10kW Generator Features:

• Generac 7172 is the latest Guardian Series home standby generator. It runs on a Generac's G-Force 400 Series 460cc single-cylinder engine that is pressure-lubricated. It is purpose-built for extended use. 

• The air-cooled generator runs on LP or natural gas. During a power outage, the generator will sense the outage and start on its own. It will run efficiently until the grid power returns. 

• On natural gas, the generator produces 9000 watts and on LP 10kW. The fuel tank stores 1.1 quarts (1.03 liters) of oil. The model runs quietly with low emissions and provides clean power for sensitive electronics. 

• The 100-amp, indoor and outdoor rated NEMA 3R transfer switch with aluminum enclosure powers 16-circuits of your home. Choose to power only the essentials or a few rooms or the whole house when utility power fails. Transfer switch options include 100amp 16 circuit switch and 200amp service rated smart switch. 

• The G-Flex variable speed technology allows the air-cooled gas engine to change its speed according to the changing load. This way the engine runs smoothly under no pressure from the load you add. 

• Smart, user-friendly controls make the model easy to use and maintain. Generac’s Evolution™ Controller features a multilingual LCD. Users can check the monitor battery status and track maintenance intervals in the language of choice.
